Spice up your chickpeas with this kitchen winner

What you’ll need for this dish:
- 1 can of Miami’s Tomato, Basil and Origanum tinned tomatoes
- ½ can of Miami’s Boerie Relish
- 250g of pre-cooked chickpeas (tinned or fresh cooked, your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ to 1 large onion, finely diced
- Any other herbs you’d like to add
How to make this dish:
In a shallow saucepan, on a medium heat, cook your onion in a little oil until soft and glassy. Combine the Boerie relish with the tinned tomatoes, and add to the pan. Bring to a slow simmer, and add your herbs and spices. Now it’s time to add the chickpeas. Stir in evenly, and allow to gently heat. When everything is a fragrant, warm dish it’s ready to serve! Add to rice or pap, or serve in a gorgeous bowl alongside some crusty bread for a Mediterranean taste explosion. While best served warm, this dish also makes a fantastic cold side for salads, tacos and braais.
